These Etudes are developed to facilitate individual playing assessments used to measure student achievement. They are also useful as an extension of your warm ups, for sight reading, private lessons, or individual or sectional performances, recitals, or auditions.

The system presented in this Etude Book offers everything a Band Director needs to assess individual progress, but also to prepare them with the full ensemble. The 35 melodies, correlated so all wind and percussion pieces can be prepared and performed together, makes it easy for teachers to engage the entire band while challenging each members individual achievement level.

1st Place Band Builders

A comprehensive set of scale and articulation drills developed for both marching and concert band. This method collection will assist band directors and private lesson teachers to offer a variety of sequential warm ups to supplement their present curriculum. Each purchase contains a master set of parts for winds, snare, and mallets. Directors may copy parts as needed for their ensemble. Private teachers or students may purchase a single book.
